Steve Gold
Division President, Nashville
With his hands-on approach to leadership and management, Steve is dedicated to the highest levels of service for both his clients and colleagues as the Division President for Capital Growth Buchalter Nashville. Continuous improvement is just one of the many goals Steve strives for in his current role and puts this into practice while managing his team. From market planning to construction oversight, he currently leads the development efforts at the firm, managing several clients including Bojangles’ Famous Chicken & Biscuits, AT& T, EyeMart, Verizon, Kay Jewelers, Woodspring Suites, and McAlister’s Deli.
Steve is adept at managing and developing effective teams, creating and improving processes, and handling multiple and diverse projects on a regional, multi-regional and national basis. He is experienced in team management, market planning, site selection, and concept roll-out. Other specialties include market planning and analysis, lease and land contracts, lease administration and renewals, and GIS applications.
His broad expertise in retail and restaurant development began over 30 years ago when he started with Wendy’s, eventually becoming the Senior Director of Real Estate and Development. Steve has also held roles with Dollar General, and most recently, with Logan’s Roadhouse as the Senior Director of Real Estate, where he was instrumental in growing the chain from 180 to 250 units during his five-year tenure. Prior to joining the CGB team, Steve also held senior leadership positions for the real estate teams of national and global brands including TMX Finance, La Tagliatella Restaurants, and Boston Chicken.
He earned a double bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University in both political science and history. Interestingly, he served as a volunteer firefighter in New York for 11 years. When he’s not busy working, Steve enjoys traveling, watching hockey, and spending time with his wife McClain and their four children.
