Capital Growth Buchalter (CGB) is looking to hire an experienced construction accountant who will be responsible for performing accounting duties for commercial real estate development projects from initial acquisition to construction completion and turnover to tenant.
Job Duties
- Process earnest money check requests
- Coordinate with banks to open checking accounts
- Set up entities in Yardi accounting software by creating job codes and recording closing entries
- Prepare loan draw requests to submit to banks
- Process pay applications as submitted by general contractors, including obtaining required approvals
- Process other invoices from external and internal requestors
- Prepare bank reconciliations and/or assist with outsourced bank rec function
- Post journal entries as needed for monthly close
- Maintain property listing with classification of stage of project
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of accounting experience in either public accounting or industry
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Yardi experience preferred but not required
